It used to be anything is possible in comics. But now it seems to be definitely will happen. I am refering to death in comics. And it isn't just about anyone characters but a main character instead. Most famous example would be Superman and Captain America. Like many other deaths, it isn't permanent! Superman and Captain America were revived at some later stage. Go read the story. So who's next? It is Archie this time. While most revival occurs in stories that take place in fantasy worlds. In some serious world that seems to be a duplicate of our world here, there is no coming back from it unless the whole story turns into some unbelievable fiction that have no boundaries. So is it really the end? Yes, that is according to the publisher. So when Archie dies, there is no coming back, at least for this sub world. If you do call it that way. It turns out that this title, is an alternative world so anything that happens will not affect the other title. Archie continues in the other books. Simple as that. Still everyone knows it will be a hit as people wants to see Archie hit the dirt and how he does it.
